Old bathroom fixtures, fine, but how about a place to rest my toothbrush? The breakfast room had run out of everything. No chair, no tv, just beds and a nightstand and a worn out rug. The room was just adequate, not large, not particularly comfortable. There's a bit too much reverence for the architect (I'm sure she was groundbreaking, but I didn't need the shrine), and too much strangeness about the "club" to be comfortable. ![]() ![]() It is a large building, so old doesn't mean quaint either, more like cavernous and dusty. like "quiet hours" that made murmuring (really inaudible) whispers in hall against the (enforced against us) rules. ![]() like "must wear a bathing cap to use the pool" (no one used the pool). This hotel bills itself as historic, so I expected historic furnishings, but I didn't expected historic rules.
